This is a lightweight compression cell systems with many uses. This system can be used for testing presses upto 5 tonnes. It is also excellent for testing Train or Tram Braking Systems. This product is currently being used to check the brakes on an Australian Suburbane Railway Systems.

Tensiometers Clamp-On

The design is simple, two roller bearing sheaves are mounted in a rigid frame. The rope is clamped in the middle of the Load Cell between the two sheaves. As tension increases the force against the two sheaves it is transmitted as an electrical signal to the display as a direct reading of the line tension. Various Models are available.
0.4 to 3 tonnes. (6 - 10mm rope dia)
2 to 5 tonnes (11 - 16mm rope dia)
4 to 10 tonne (17 - 22mm rope dia)"
